Was just saying what happened on Dragon's Den. Asked if anybody had seen it, because I had not. Hardly thimk that qualifies as criticism ?
'What's accepted on the show is not always what happens because deals have to be fully negotiated and closed,' said Lucier.
Cary Lucier, CEO of Negreanu Gaming. Lucier--firefighter, turned entrepreneur, turned casino table games inventor--eventually partnered with professional poker player Daniel Negreanu. Lucier started in the industry as table games supervisor/instructor, but eventually was 'infected with the entrepreneurial bug' and began creating award-winning casino game concepts like FortuneTeller Blackjack.
You might want to watch the replays of the first two shows of CANADA's Greatest Know It All.....where Cary made an ass of himself. But I guess thats how KNOW IT ALLS are.
He was a dealer at Casino Windsor but I doubt he ever was a supervisor/instructor as if memory serves me correct he couldnt handle the smoke so he moved on
here is his video to try to get on to Greatest Know It all

Here are the game rules, as outlined in the .pdf:
THE BASICS OF CHUCK-EM
The object of the game is to roll at least one point higher than the banker to win. The
banker can be the casino, or can be another player. The banker always rolls first in the
game, and up to six people can sit at a Chuck-Em table.
---
Bets are placed on the Chuck-Em square at the outer edge of the table.
The banker rolls three dice. To make a point, the banker must roll a pair. The third die is
the point. For example, it the roll is a three, three and five, the point is five.
Then the player rolls. He or she must roll a six to win.
Any pair with a six as the third roll is an automatic win. The player can also win by
rolling a four-five-six straight, or by rolling three of a kind.
Any roll that doesn't result in a point or a combination is considered a 'dead roll,' and the
player can roll again. This can happen until the player rolls a point and either wins or
loses.
There are also 'automatic lose' rolls. Any pair with the third die as a one is an automatic
loss, as is a one-two-three roll.
---
Players can increase their odds by placing one-roll bets.
Inside the Chuck-Em table are two circles, one with a C on it; the other with a D.
Players can place their chips on one or the other. A bet on C is a wager that the player
will roll a low combination (a total of between four and 10 points). Betting on D chances
the player will roll a combination of between 11 and 17 points.
---
And there's a third way to wager:
The numbers one through six are in squares directly below the point squares on the table.
Players can hedge their bets, and put a chip on each square in their allocated space,
offering a fail-safe plan to win. A winning wager offers 11-1 odds and is tied to the point
square above.
For example: A player bets on the Chuck-Em square on the outside. Then places his or
her chip on the inside square. The player thinks the point will be a four, so places a chip
on that square. If the point does come up a four, the player wins. If it doesn't, the player
loses.
What is Dragons Den I`m not familiar with this?
It is the show that the USA show 'Shark Tank' is based on. It is on in Canada and Britian I believe.
- Is the game in any casino right now so that it can be played?
- 'Chuck-Em square at the outer edge of the table' bets are only placed by the person ('player') who will be throwing the dice? In other words, you don't place bets on the outer edge if it is not your turn.
- For the C and D circles, are wagers for the 'next' throw or the 'next' non 'dead-roll'.
- For 'third way to wager', it appears the wagers are for the 'next' non 'dead-roll'. If 4-5-6 (or 1-2-3) comes up then the player's bet is lost. True?
I'm just trying to get a handle on the game.

For what it is worth, Cary has developed a lot of games that I think are pretty good. His Copy Cat BJ side bet is in at Santa Fe Station. I think it is easy to criticize, but he did get a deal offered and he has a game placed and it has been in play for a while.....unless you are PaiGowDan or Switch, you have to respect the results.
